On the surface, Shunsuke (Onishi Shima) and Kanako (Maki Yoko) appear to be a happily married couple living a quiet existence in a rural town. When their neighbour's young daughter is murdered, a relentless reporter (Omori Nao) unwittingly discovers the complex past behind Shunsuke and Kanako's relationship.
